Cape Town internship movies
Welcome to the VACorps internship movie page. We created the following movies to help you gain a better visual sense of what life is like as a participant of our professional internship program in South Africa. Read the descriptions before watching the movies.
MOVIE 1 is the creation of Chris Schehlein, a 2009 VACorps participant. Chris, a graduate of the Illinois State University School of Business, interned at ROI Media, an online marketing company based in Cape Town. This film serves the purpose of giving you a tour of Observatory, the neighborhood where our Cape Town internship program is located.
MOVIE 2 was also created by Chris Schehlein, a VACorps participant. Chris, a graduate of the Illinois State University School of Business, interned at ROI Media, an online marketing company based in Cape Town. This film follows VACorps participant, Liz Kaoh, during a day at the Astra School, where she interned from January to April of 2009. MOVIE 3 was created in March 2008 by Eric Taylor, a VACorps participant. Eric interned at Edit Café, a video post-production company based in Cape Town, and created this amazing video using the company''s professional video and editing equipment. Starring in this film are three VACorps interns from the January to March 2008 period who give interviews at the end of the film. This is a MUST-WATCH if you are considering participation in our program.
MOVIE 4, created in December 2007, is a tribute to the many outstanding individuals who made 2007 a truly exceptional year at VACorps. They say pictures speak louder than words, so should you be considering our program, be sure to watch this movie. This four-minute clip captures the true ethos of our Cape Town internship program.
MOVIE 5, created in January 2007, is used by IE3 Global Internships, one of our academic partners, for classroom visits and study abroad fairs. This movie gives you a great understanding of what Cape Town looks like and will help you visualize the context of your internship!
