JOB DESCRIPTION
Interns will be involved in a variety of tasks designed to best utilize the individual’s skills. Our interns will be involved in the following: Marketing + Advertising, Human Resources, Business Management, Tour Consulting (arranging packages for clients). You will work in an environment that is both multicultural and international. A requirement of this internship is a positive attitude and a willingness to work with members of a team.
ORGANIZATION INFORMATION
African Eagle is an inbound operator specializing in South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Kenya and Tanzania. We are a progressive company with an infrastructure that allows us to satisfy our customer’s requirements beyond expectations. We pride ourselves in being experienced, efficient and thorough, without loss of our personal touch. Our itineraries include most of Southern Africa and we are able to offer everything from self-drive tours to fully inclusive packages for groups in mini-buses or coaches. In the year 2000 we received over 30,000 passengers from 34 destinations around the world.
African Eagle employs 65 full-time staff members, of which 15 are full-time guides who speak a variety of languages. Eight of our employees are Tour Managers and they are fully responsible for each tour, from the first quote until the client is on their way back home. Our staff members are all young, dynamic people who are committed to quality and the customer.
African Eagle currently has seven branches. We have our head office in Johannesburg and a branch in Cape Town - South Africa, Windhoek in Namibia, Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, Nairobi in Kenya and Arusha in Tanzania. We also have a branch in Paris, for the convenience of our European customers. Both our Vic Falls and Windhoek branches handle our tours into Botswana.
We are members of the Southern Africa Tourism Services Association (SATSA) and the International Air Transport Association (IATA). We are also a Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) company.
