Well then VAC may have the perfect opportunity for you: an international internship with Inspirations Dance Company, an innovative dance company that aims to provide children in historically disadvantaged communities in
Inspirations Dance Company, formerly known as Dance For All, was founded in 1991 as a small ballet company. Today, Inspirations now runs an Outreach Programme of daily dance classes in ballet, African, contemporary, musical theatre, and Spanish dance for over 1000 children in more than nine low-income communities and townships around Cape Town. Beyond teaching dance, these classes promote the personal development of children and youth by encouraging creativity, self-discipline, and confidence. Students receive first-class training from a talented and diverse teaching team. Inspirations is now expanding its Outreach Programme to rural areas around
In addition to providing an Outreach Programme, Inspirations has become a highly regarded school of dance, successfully training a new generation of professional South African dancers. The company has been able to achieve this through the introduction of its Junior and Senior Programmes, which provide especially talented students with intensive dance training to prepare them for careers in the performing arts.
