Obzside Adventure Centre: A PADI [Professional Association of Diving Instructors] diving centre and one of the top dive schools in Cape Town.
Realise your dreams of becoming an advertising guru with a marketing internship at VA Corps. We have selected an amazing opportunity for you, namely the Obzside Adventure Centre. You will use your persuasive skills to develop an out-of-this world marketing campaign for this exhilarating company. The Obzside adventure centre is an accredited PADI Dive Centre located in Observatory, Cape Town. Observatory, know as a student town is an eclectic mix of ‘hippies’, businessmen and other carefree individuals. It is in this bustling section of Cape Town that your will work and live.
Obzside’s progressive fondness for intelligent marketing has ensured that there are few of their peers who can compete against them in the diving industry. In a space of as little as one year, the Obzside adventure centre has evolved from a tiny diving school operating out of a garage to one of the top certifying diving schools in Cape Town. A volatile mix of the love of diving plus true organizational transformation allows the Obzside management team to think big, challenge the industry status quo and to take the necessary risks associated with being the biggest and the best in the business. In 2006, Obzside introduced surf kayaking, extreme tubing and shark cage diving to its range of adventure-themed activities and also began providing marine coordination and logistics for the Cape Town film industry’s many ocean-based film shoots. In early 2007, Obzside launched another progressive diving service—namely the wreck diving safari. As part of your internship in Cape Town, you will play a major role in unveiling this project to the public at large.

Internship Description:
The Obzside Adventure centre is looking for a fun-loving, creative, motivated and independent individual who wishes to apply for this ideal summer internship position. Your duty as a marketing assistant will be to create a well thought-out and carefully executed marketing campaign for the Obzside diving centre. You will have many duties during your internship in Cape Town and will be given the opportunity to use your boundless creativity in creating a campaign with a focus on internet-based marketing [If SEO and PPC mean anything to you, then you are already half-way there]. Interns will work on trip presentations, membership drives, our web presence and weekly email marketing. This is an amazing opportunity to take part in a marketing internship which will drive clients through the doors of our uniquely South African company.
