Obz Café

Obz Café is arguably the best place to eat breakfast in all of Observatory (try their interesting variety of omelets). While the food and coffee always tastes great, the restaurant area also doubles as an exhibition room for local artists. In fact, if you fall in love with a particular piece of art, you may buy it off the wall and bring it home with you. The featured artists change monthly, so be sure to periodically poke your head into the café if you're in the mood to view contemporary South African art.  On Sunday mornings there is usually live jazz until 11 a.m. unless  a major sporting event is televised--you'll find that South Africans take rugby and cricket very seriously.
