Camps Bay
There is no other place like Cape Town in the summer! And what better way to spend a beautiful summer day than exploring the many beaches that our city has to offer. Camps Bay Beach is an international hot-spot for good reason! When the sun is out, the beach is dotted with beach umbrellas and sunbathers, and you'll have little difficulty finding an open space in the sand because the beach is quite large. Be sure to take a break from the hot, African sun and visit the number of restaurants on the strip for a meal or a cool drink. If you’re feeling too comfortable to leave your place on the beach, try an iced lolly—better known in the States as a popsicle! Evenings in Camps Bay are very popular in the summer and the strip is a trendy location for dinner and cocktails. This is one of the most popular destinations in the city among VACorps interns.
