Scuba Diving
One possible activity you may choose to pursue during your leisure time is scuba diving. The waters of False Bay and the Atlantic seaboard offer a variety of interesting underwater formations and soft-coral gardens. Cape Town is also renowned within the international SCUBA community as a premiere wreck diving destination. The waters surrounding Cape Town are a vast shipwreck graveyard, with many wrecks lying within recreational diving depths. Since Cape Town''s earliest beginnings as a Dutch colony in the 1600s, the Cape of Good Hope has been a treacherous navigational obstacle, claiming hundreds of wrecks. Exploring a sunken wreck is an unforgettable experience.
