VACorps is an established faculty-led program service provider in South Africa with over a decade of experience operating within the field of international education. We have hosted more than 50 trips since 2006 and coordinate programs throughout Southern Africa. Our process for preparing a quote for your faculty-led trip:

  • Establish your trip’s academic purpose and objectives.
  • Establish your group size and leadership structures.
  • Determine your trip length.
  • Receive a draft itinerary for review along with a projected budget.
  • Final agreement signed and budget confirmed.

The following are frequently asked questions about our faculty-led program services:

We will first establish your trip’s learning objectives and then present you with a draft itinerary. We will review the itinerary together and make adjustments based on your budget. We prefer to create budgets by using a per-participant budget model. Every itinerary will go through several revisions before you sign off on the final trip schedule.

Many faculty members have brought children and/or spouses on their trips. We will happily accommodate your family members in the plan and can assist with daycare arrangements if you have very young children.

Certainly. During the trip planning phase, we will determine how much daily contact time you plan to have with your students. Our experienced staff will alleviate your leadership burden early and often, particularly during day trips and tours.

Some faculty leaders like to spend their entire days with the students and choose to live at the same lodging whereas other prefer separate housing arrangements and more freedom of movement.

Our company is located in Cape Town, South Africa but we can facilitate trips anywhere in Southern Africa. We have previously run trips in the following countries:

No. We use a reliable caterer who can prepare packed lunches for day tours and delivers home-cooked dinners at your accommodation. This service typically reduces your trip’s food budget and also saves a tremendous amount of time, particularly in the evenings after action-packed days. There is nothing worse than a late night out at a busy restaurant with a tired group of students.
