This Monday evening, we’ll be gathering for our next Culture Series session: “From Molo to Howzit: Talk Like a Local.”

South Africa is home to 11 official languages and countless everyday expressions that reflect its diversity. In this session, we’ll explore some of the most common greetings, phrases, and slang you’ll hear around Cape Town, from isiXhosa basics like Molo to the casual Howzit you’ll hear everywhere.

You’ll learn how these words and phrases carry cultural meaning, practice using them in conversation, and get tips on sounding more natural when engaging with locals. It’s a fun, interactive way to deepen your cultural immersion and feel more connected to the community.
