Thank you for expressing interest in VACorps! While exploring our website, you may not have been aware that the service and support structure of our program is designed for international students with no prior experience in South Africa. These individuals require full-time support as they learn to navigate a new country and culture. With this, given we're a full-service program, we charge a fee of $2550 to our program participants, before cost of living, and can only offer unpaid internships due to strict visa regulations. If you are not interested in joining our program but just want an internship, what we recommend you do is contact companies directly within the greater Cape Town area to ask about their internship opportunities for locals. For instance, the City of Cape Town offers opportunities exclusive to South Africans, not to mention websites such as indeed and JobVine for employment and internship opportunities as well.
