For this week’s meetup, we’re heading to the breathtaking Cape Point, located at the southwestern tip of the Cape Peninsula. Known for its dramatic cliffs, sweeping ocean views, and unique natural landscape, Cape Point is one of the most iconic places to visit in the region. The area forms part of Table Mountain National Park and offers exceptional scenery throughout.

There will be some walking and light hiking involved, so comfortable shoes are recommended. Be sure to bring a camera — the views are truly spectacular.

Details:

• Meet at: 12:30 PM at the VAC office

• Depart Cape Point: 5:00 PM to head back

• Travel time: approximately 1 hour each way

Please bring:

• Water

• Hat & sunscreen

• Camera

• A light jacket or sweater

• Lunch (or eat beforehand; snacks can be enjoyed during the drive)

This is a classic Cape Town experience and a great opportunity to explore one of the area’s most scenic natural landmarks.
