For this week’s meetup, we’re heading to Hout Bay for a seal cruise along one of Cape Town’s most scenic stretches of coastline. The boat trip takes us out to Duiker Island, home to a large colony of Cape fur seals, with excellent chances to see them swimming, diving, and resting on the rocks.

The cruise also offers spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean and the dramatic mountains that surround Hout Bay, making this a memorable way to experience the area from the water.

Details:

• Departure: 1:30 PM from the VAC office

• Return: around 4:00 PM

Please bring:

• A light jacket (it can be breezy on the boat)

• Sunscreen

• Your phone or camera
