For this Friday’s weekly meetup, we’ll be heading out for the Noordhoek Beach Shipwreck Walk—a scenic coastal walk with a touch of history.

We’ll take a relaxed 2.5 to 3 km walk along the beach to visit the remains of the Kakapo, a steamship that ran aground in 1900. The rusted wreck is still visible in the sand and makes for a unique and memorable stop. After the walk, we’ll head to Aegir Project Brewery for a relaxed beer tasting and a chance to unwind together.

Details:

Meeting time: 1:00 PM at the office
Return: mid to late afternoon

Please ensure you:

• Wear comfortable walking shoes
• Bring a water bottle
• Wear sunscreen and a hat
• Bring something warm in case it gets windy

This is a great opportunity to enjoy Cape Town’s coastline, learn a bit of local history, and spend time together as a group.
