Lydia is a proud graduate of DePauw University with over a decade of experience as an Assistant Director in the film and television industry. Her journey with VACorps began in 2013 as a student intern, when she fell in love with South Africa’s beauty, culture, and community. That life-changing experience inspired her to return as Director of U.S. Recruitment, helping others discover their own transformative adventures abroad. Outside of VACorps, Lydia remains active in the film industry and loves traveling with her husband every chance she gets. She’s a firm believer that the best growth happens when we step outside our comfort zones and believes Cape Town is the perfect place to start.
