Bathande Children’s Reading Club

Bathande Children’s Reading Club, established and overseen by Kholi, a one of your VACorps program advisors, provides a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners to discover the wonders of learning, their community, and themselves through the world of books. Presently, the Bathande Children’s Reading Club warmly welcomes over 80 young boys and girls, aged 4 to 13, on weekends. Here, they engage in creative learning activities designed to improve language skills andgrow confidence in their literacy capabilities. However, more than just nourishing bodies, Obs Pasta Kitchen is devoted to fostering connections with those who reside on the streets and establishing a sustainable, long-term strategy to uplift their lives. Obs Pasta Kitchen is actively seeking volunteers and welcomes donations. If you have the desire to extend a helping hand, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
