Andrea participated in an occupational therapy internship through VACorps in 2016.
“My time in the Mother City is for sure one that I will never forget. I have a new perspective on life and just how great new adventures can be. In my time here I have done more than I could have ver dreamed of. There is so much on offer here, from the experience and knowledge I gained during my internship, to meeting and getting to know new people from all over the world, to the adventures around every corner. I could not even begin to explain how amazing my time in Cape Town was. It leaves you with new friends, new knowledge of your career path, and a feeling of happiness and joy that runs throughout your body. I have done so much more than I ever could have imagined, from shark cage diving to bungee jumping the highest bridge jump in the world to hugging an elephant. My internship has taught me so much about occupational therapy and is going to help me in the future. I want to thank VACorps for giving me the opportunity of a lifetime from the very bottom of my heart.”
