Cape Town proved to be an exceptional choice for my internship. The city offers an incredible blend of natural beauty and cultural diversity, providing endless opportunities for exploration and enjoyment. From its stunning landscapes to its wide range of activities, Cape Town is also an affordable destination, making it easy to maximize both work and leisure during your stay.
During my time in Cape Town, I had the pleasure of hiking Lion’s Head, an experience that rewarded me with breathtaking views of the city and the Atlantic Ocean. Horse ride along Noordhoek Beach, and skydiving was an unforgettable highlight. One of the most memorable parts of my trip was exploring the Garden Route, a must-do for anyone visiting South Africa. The route is filled with spectacular landscapes, and I had the chance to experience activities like bungee jumping and kayaking. The safari, where I observed the Big Five in their natural habitat, was another extraordinary experience that deepened my appreciation for the country’s rich biodiversity.
Beyond the adventures, my stay in Cape Town was enriched by the diverse people I met. I connected with individuals from various cultures and countries, which broadened my perspective and enhanced my experience. Professionally, I achieved my goals of gaining insights into a different healthcare system, expanding my medical knowledge both theoretically and practically, and interacting with patients and their families from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Cape Town not only met but exceeded my expectations, offering a perfect balance between professional growth and personal adventure.
