Savannah (pictured front middle) is majoring in International Studies with a Pre-Medicine emphasis at the Univesity of Utah. She joined the VACorps program in June 2022 and participated in a medical internship at a local clinic.
VACorps was an experience that I wouldn’t trade for anything. I was assigned to work at a government health clinic, and not only did Vacorps support me through the logistics of my time there, but they also helped me with the emotional and community side of it. I grew professionally, personally, and emotionally. This internship helped me to see the larger picture of the world and to understand medicine on a deeper level. Cape Town is full of amazing people, and this element of the experience made my time here so wonderful. Three months in this City is not enough and I am confident I will be back soon!
