Throughout my time in VAC, I have been fortunate enough to experience Cape Town first hand. VAC has acted as a strong foundation with which to build my own way to enjoy the culture of South Africa. I have them most to thank for finding my internship with the Taxi through which I was taught to love and laugh at/with Cape Town as they showed me how to build and strengthen a sense of community via radio. I have the VAC program to thank for my new found appreciation for the Mother City and for an indescribable summer.
