Natalie studies Social Work at UCLA in the United States, where she is completing a Bachelor of Arts. She joined VAC in June 2026 and completed an internship with a South African social justice organization, where she gained insight into youth-focused community work and learned more about different political and social issues in Cape Town.
I chose Cape Town because I wanted to understand how youth programs work here because I’m interested in working for a youth program back in the States. During my internship, I was able to learn more about different political issues here in Cape Town. I also really appreciated the weekly activities, the support and knowing I could call VAC staff if I needed anything. I really love the VAC staff <3
