Jadyn is studying biomedical engineering at Mississippi State University. She joined the VACorps program from February – April of 2023 and participated in a biotech internship.

“I chose to intern in Cape Town because of a former professor who consistently praised the city’s beauty, emphasizing its breathtaking views and the kindness and generosity of its people. Over the past two months, I’ve had the incredible opportunity to intern at a local biotech company. I am profoundly grateful for the knowledge I’ve gained and the sense of belonging I’ve found, feeling like I’ve gained a new family. I’m also thankful for VACorps, as they made my transition seamless, helping me integrate into this community effortlessly. The people I’ve met and the experiences I’ve had will be unforgettable, and I’ll miss every moment. Cape Town has truly become one of the most remarkable places I’ve ever visited, and I wouldn’t change a single minute of this enriching experience.”
