“I definitely had high hopes and great expectations for my trip to Cape Town, and here near its conclusion I can say with confidence that I was not disappointed. Cape Town is every bit the beautiful city that it is reported to be, and yet I’ve been privileged to see some of the less aesthetically pleasing side as well. As an intern at Retreat Day Hospital I have gathered a great deal of medical knowledge, and an invaluable experience that I will undoubtedly look back upon as I approach my career. At the same time, I’ve done some participated in some awesome extracurriculars as well, from deep sea fishing to beautiful hikes in the mountains. VAC has been a great program that is truly dedicated to helping you meet your goals, and I have definitely made some incredible friends while here. My comments to friends back home about the program will certainly be positive, and I look forward to a future opportunity to visit Cape Town.”
