“I chose to intern in Cape Town because it was somewhere to go that was new and different for me. My entire experience completely exceeded my initial expectations. I really enjoyed getting to know other interns and taking part in random and spontaneous activities. Also, I loved working at a clinic in a township because it allowed me to further understand how privileged life can be in the US where I live. It also gave me a chance to get to know amazing people that I otherwise wouldn’t have had the chance to meet had I not come to Cape Town. Also, the VAC staff are all extremely helpful and care about our development as an intern while being here.”
