“I absolutely loved my time in Cape Town. It is truly a city made for everyone- the adventurer, the city goer, the surfer, the foodie, etc. You will never run out of things to do in your time here. Being in Cape Town truly stretches you as a person; you gain a newfound sense of independence as you have to figure out buying electricity and buying data for your phone. You feel like a “real adult”. I met some of the coolest people I’ve ever met during my time with VAC. A certain type of person comes and spends an extended amount of time in South Africa. If you come here you will meet people that are all similar to you and have similar goals. My internship was really incredible, I learned about my future and what I want and don’t want in a future career. Not every day in Cape Town is going to be perfect, but you will learn so much.”
