Aku (pictured 4th from the right)is studying towards her BSc in biochemistry at the University of Nottingham. She joined the VACorps program in February 2022 and participated in an internship at a laboratory in Cape Town.
“I have really enjoyed my Cape Town experience, it has truly been unforgettable. I have made so many memories and I have made friends for a lifetime. I especially enjoyed the Friday activities, this gave us the opportunity to explore different areas of Cape Town as well as spend time with everyone on the program. I will highly recommend VACorps to anyone looking to travel and work during their Gap Year as Cape Town is an incredible city.”
