When I applied for the VAC program I thought I knew exactly what I was getting myself into. Having been to South Africa before with my parents, I expected the same sort of amazing experience. I was so wrong. My last two months have been so much more exciting than my previous experience or than any other experience that I have ever had. VAC worked so hard to find me the right internship site. Once there, I was never disappointed with the world class engineering projects that I was a part of. The program provides a good balance of work and leisure time in one of the most diverse cities in the world. I was presented the opportunity to meet so many interns from all corners of the globe. It’s so easy it is to make friends while having fun on any of the exciting VAC Friday activities. All in all, this is an experience that I would not exchange for anything else. Thanks VAC!
